Freedom is…

Tuesday, December 20th, 2005

Freedom is… Freedom is… As I look away from the life that I consider prison, I understand that I’ve reached something that is ethereal, yet fought for by millions of people for thousands of years. Freedom. I can consider myself free, because no one is there to tell me what to do. I control myself. I am… Destiny. Sin. Chaos. Infatuation. My own mind. Who in the blue hell thought that one is free? You all believe in destiny, bound to a fixed stationary being by what you deem as strings of your own. Freedom? Sin. We are all naturally good, and we never wanted the evil in us to happen, and yet, we succumb to its banal power. Freedom? Chaos. War. We strongly believe that protecting our country is the most valiant thing we could do for it, and what not to do, but destroy those that are our enemies. Then, what about of their own freedom? Where is the freedom in that, if we can’t even see the greater picture that is unfolding before our eyes? Infatuation. Sealing yourself in a state where you’ll blindly do anything for the one you ‘love.’ I almost can believe it is freedom, but what if that person doesn’t appreciate what what you are doing? What if, she’s only using you, in lack of terms? Do you so strongly believe you’re free if you can’t even move an inch when she is involved? How can you be free, if you can’t even set yourself free? Freedom is… Freedom is… I believe freedom is nothing more than being with the persons that believe in you. Yet bound to the chains, you are all nobody’s slave… Your life, sacrifice, everything that you have done, is only better off to those who can appreciate what you are doing. Freedom is nothing more than doing WHAT YOU CAN, not what you want.

Wala  nang pasok. I’m free!! Happy holidays!!

Great Teacher Onizuka : Is It Really Possible >,<?!

Unbelievable. Just Unbelieveable. Ngayon pasko, hindi talaga ako maniniwala. We, the country of pure cultural intolerance, an accident of a democracy, with its older citizens never able to forgive our fellow asians, the Japanese, IPAPALABAS ANG GREAT TEACHER ONIZUKA SA TV?! SA HAPON!? UNBELIEVABLE!!

While all cartoons strive to degrade the personality that is the teacher’s image, eto lamang, at sa tana ng buhay ko, ang katangi-tanging animation series na ipanapakita kung gaano kaganda ang maging isang GURO. Pure genius, just heartwarming, and to those who are overly conservative, THE MOST OFFENSIVE ANIME YOU’LL EVER SEE.

Good morning, MTRCB. This is the twentyfirst century, and you can’t keep the Filipino youth in their cages anymore. We are developing minds faster than anything you’ve ever seen in your FRUITLESS, UNPRODUCTIVE, VENGEFUL, OVERLY DRAMATIC pathetic EXCUSE for an EXISTENCE.

Tulad ng aking real life mentors. Kasi sila, may itinuturong maganda, tulad ng aking paboritong mga Manga/Anime series, di tulad ng MTRCB, na nagpropromote ng cultural negligence, hypocrisy, at severe attachment to traditions that has hampered the development of the young adults’ minds for over 50 years now. Thank you, God.

Don’t mind me, It’s Itsuki.

"I ask of you now," the mystical blade asked the amnesiac warrior, now as close as ever to finding his lost memory. Itsuki had dreamt of this moment before. He had no idea then, that the blade he held in his hand, throughout all this time, was the one that sealed all his memories, to his own consent. Itsuki remembered the times he had, with his mother, his brother Itou, the unit they called ‘home’, SPECTRUM, Yul, Sir Lander, Fiona, and…

   "Who is Itsuki?"

Who is Itsuki? He now knew the answer to the question that stumped him for a long time. Who is Itsuki, Zion asks? Itsuki is the man that became the sole hope of a unit decaying in the inhuman ruling that is the Mechanican Union. He was the one that gave birth to the term ‘guardian’. He was the man Yul respected, as a warrior, and as a father. He was the man that saved an entire town from being overrun by the same military he worked for. The man Yuki, with all her heart, loved and had vowed to protect. The guardian, in all its terms, sacrificing his personal good for the well being of those he loved. He was…

   I am…

The blade shimmered in the evening sky, shedding its warmth to all those that’ll need its power before the gongs of war sounds again. He again repeated what he had promised not to do again, but this time, it’ll be his own sacrifice. He believed, that like what Yuki did for him, is inevitably the same as what will do. At last, the promise of the guardian, will be fulfilled…

"I am Itsuki. I am him."

The blade, Zion, the one named Devotion, again showed Itsuki the last form of its power. It was the grandest blade he ever laid eyes upon, and yet, he knew that this would be the second time he have seen it. Itou said that after Yuki had given her own in order to fulfill the wish of the Zion’s wielder, and still, after all that, the blade still radiated the power that he believed was lost forever. He held it softly in his hands, and returned it to its amulet form. Viewing the night sky for the final time, Itsuki sat down on the edge of the cliff, where the battle for the Midas’ Touch will begin. He sat down and pondered, what will the others do after his offering will be done…

   "But what of Yumi?"

The blade invoked him a question that he has forgotten, a question that still has no answer for him. Itsuki shook his head in disbelief, but he still had one more answer left in his heart…

   "I believe her. I trust Yumi…"
